Charlie came from Trina’s Cobs back in 2018 and after 3yrs of being our family pony is sadly outgrown and looking for a new home to love him.
Charlie has taught all 3 of my children to ride and is a great confidence giver – you can happily put a non-rider on him for a potter. We’ve pretty much done it all in the time we’ve had him – he’s a lovely stamp for the show ring, happily pops a course of small show jumps, and enjoys a stomp round the x-country. He’s an easy pony, suitable as a lead rein or 1st ridden (he’s incredibly tolerant of an unbalanced seat!) but will step up a gear for a more competent child/adult. He’s good with the farrier (currently has fronts), dentist, vet, loading/travelling, bathing. Will happily stand around at shows, turns out with other horses, and you can trust him with the kids running round him in the yard. Charlie’s great to hack in company or alone, and never gets fizzy or joggy, plus he’s great to nanny other ponies out hacking as he’s so good in traffic. He also doesn’t change regardless of whether you rode him yesterday or last month!
It’s a really sad sale as he’s been the most amazing pony for my family, but my children have well and truly outgrown him and have moved onto their next ponies and I can’t justify keeping him for myself – he’s a great parent/child share or kids pony but equally he’s would make a nice show pony.
We are located in East Sussex and open to serious viewings and of course vetting. It is a sad sale for us so please no time wasters
